As you know, virtual and in-person classes are under way or will soon start in schools across Texas, so it’s important that students be up to date with vaccinations.
TMA is committed to improving the health of all Texans – and committed to helping you improve the health of your communities. TMA offers ready-made outreach programs to connect you with your patients and community: Be Wise – Immunize, Hard Hats for Little Heads, and Walk With a Doc Texas.
In this time of social distancing, Walk With a Doc, a national organization that promotes physicians walking within their community, is still going strong with virtual walks.
Be Wise – Immunize works to counter vaccine hesitancy and raise vaccination rates through education and shot clinics. The program provides tools to enhance vaccination outreach efforts by physicians, medical students, and TMA Alliance members.
Be Wise – Immunize is made possible through a grant from the TMA Foundation.
Hard Hats for Little Heads promotes keeping kids active and safe. TMA provides a generous match on your purchase of helmets to properly fit on kids – plus all you need for a winning bike helmet giveaway event.
Hard Hats for Little Heads is made possible through a grant from the TMA Foundation.
Walk With a Doc Texas promotes healthy physical activity through physician-led walks in Texas communities. Program start-up is free for TMA members, and includes liability insurance and resources to make your walk a success.
Walk With a Doc Texas is made possible through a grant from the TMA Foundation.
The Texas Medical Association Foundation (TMAF) invites proposals from “eligible applicants” for a grant to fully or partially fund a health improvement program that focuses on one of TMA’s current public health or science priority areas.
TMA Foundation (TMAF) is a 501 (c) (3) organization committed to connecting the charitable concerns of physicians with the people of Texas. TMAF funded initiatives enable physicians and their families to give back to their community and take a visible leadership role toward improving the health of all Texans.
TMA honors efforts to improve the health of all Texans. Become a TMA Health Hero when you host events for all three outreach programs.
