Jim Rohack, MD, is a senior staff cardiologist at Scott & White Clinic in Temple, serves as medical director of medical operations at Scott & White Health Plan, and is an associate professor of medicine at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He is a former chief of staff at Brazos Valley Medical Center in College Station and was a member of its board of trustees.

In addition to his professional positions, Dr. Rohack has held many positions of leadership in organized medicine. He has served as chair of the Texas Medical Association's Council on Medical Education and is a 15-year veteran of TMA's Delegation to AMA. He is a member of the TMA Board of Trustees and House of Delegates and has served as president and executive committee member of the Brazos-Robertson County Medical Society. He is also a member of the Bell County Medical Society Executive Committee.

Dr. Rohack is a former member of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education; a past president of the American Heart Association, Texas Affiliate; and a former member of the Board of Directors of the American College of Cardiology, Texas Chapter. He is also a member and former chair of the AMA Council on Medical Education and a current member of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education.

A native of East Rochester, New York, Dr. Rohack earned his bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at El Paso and his doctor of medicine degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He is a past president of UT Medical Branch at Galveston's alumni association.
