Despite cancellation of the Texas Medical Association’s Fall Conference, TMA’s Medical Student Section will still hold its fall business meeting. Instead of in person, the section will meet virtually via Zoom on Saturday, Sept. 18, at noon CT. Register to attend.
During the meeting, TMA President E. Linda Villarreal, MD, will share how medical students can make a difference through organized medicine.
Meeting participants will also discuss:
- How to get involved in TMA leadership;
- Available scholarships;
- Editorial opportunities specifically for medical students;
- Submitting a section-supported resolution to the TMA House of Delegates; and
- Participating in TMA’s Advocacy Retreat and other advocacy opportunities.
