After careful consideration of the evolving COVID-19 situation in Texas, with input from local and state health officials and TMA’s Coronavirus Task Force, the Texas Medical Association Board of Trustees has determined that TexMed 2020 will not take place in Fort Worth on May 1-2. The health and safety of TMA and TMA Alliance members and all donors is paramount.
TMAF’s 27th annual gala, The Art of Medicine, will go down in history as the TMA Foundation gala that wasn’t due to COVID-19. But what also will be noted is the magnificent generosity of donors who are donating their sponsorship and ticket purchases to support TMAF’s mission, as explained in a message from our Gala Host City Chairs.
Fort Worth obstetrician/gynecologist G. Sealy Massingill, MD, and his wife, Debbie, have been named host-city chairs of the Texas Medical Association Foundation’s 27th annual gala, scheduled during TexMed 2020 in May.
TMAF's 26th Annual Gala was a huge success with a record-setting $300,000 in sponsorships to support TMA health programs. Guests enjoyed carnival games, silent and live auctions, dinner, live music and dancing. Thank you to our chairs, sponsors, attendees and volunteers.
TMA Foundation thanks the chairs and co-chairs for the 2019 Gala for creating a successful event. Cheryl and Samuel Chantilis, MD, Dallas, served as Host City Chairs for the 26th annual gala. Representing the county medical society and alliance chapters of the surrounding Metroplex were co-chairs Leena Shroff, MD, Nick Shroff, MD, Sejal Mehta, MD, and Saumil Mehta, MD (Collin-Fannin); Lisa and John Queralt, MD (Tarrant); and Joseph Valenti, MD (Denton).
