Six Houston medical leaders will co-chair the Texas Medical Association Foundation’s (TMAF’s) 34th annual gala, Off to the Races, in a night dedicated to supporting community outreach and the health of all Texans.
The gala will take place Friday, April 16, 2027, during TMA’s annual meeting TexMed 2027, from 6 to 10:30 pm at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. The annual gala raises funds for TMAF programs that support children’s health, science education, literacy, vaccination awareness, and community health initiatives across Texas.
Chairs Dwane Broussard, MD, and Judy Munoz-Broussard, MD; Lewis Foxhall, MD, and Mrs. Barbara Foxhall; and Charlotte Stelly-Seitz, MD, and Mr. Bill Seitz bring a shared commitment to medicine, community service, and improving the health of Texans. Drs. Broussard and Munoz-Broussard have practiced family medicine in Houston for 30 years and are active in organized medicine and community service.
“By providing Hard Hats for Little Heads, increasing vaccination awareness, supporting science education, encouraging physical activity through Walk with a Doc Texas, and funding other public health programs, TMAF helps physicians create a better future for all Texans,” the couple said in a joint statement.
