Superior HealthPlan Moves to New Payment Platform
By Alisa Pierce

Superior HealthPlan Transition
Superior HealthPlan, in coordination with its parent company, Centene Corporation, is transitioning to the Zelis payment platform for both claims and non-claims payments, with phased rollouts through late 2026 and into early 2027.

The Texas Medical Association’s physician payment services division notes other payers may follow suit, and recommends physicians monitor health plan correspondence for updates.

Superior HealthPlan’s transition will begin with Medicare, Medicaid, behavioral health, and Ambetter programs switching during December and early 2027. To help with a smooth transition to the new payment system, review information and instructions from the announcement.

Physicians who do not enroll with Zelis' digital payment options will receive payments by paper check through mail. Once enrolled, any additional eligible lines of business that move to the new platform will automatically be included, and no further action will be required.

Superior HealthPlan says more information on this process will be provided closer to the transition.

For questions about payment options, additional help making a selection, or to change payment methods, physicians can call 1-855-774-4392 or email help@epayment.center. For ZAPP Edge or VCC, contact Zelis Client Services at

1-877-828-8770.
