Waco otolaryngologist Bradford W. Holland, MD, was installed as the 161st president of the Texas Medical Association (TMA) in April 2026.
A board-certified otolaryngologist with over 20 years of experience, Dr. Holland is a nationally respected physician leader whose career has been marked by significant service to organized medicine.
His leadership in TMA spans many years. Dr. Holland served four years as speaker and vice speaker of the House of Delegates policymaking body, and he has been a member of the TMA Board of Trustees since 2019.
He also served on TMA’s Council on Legislation and chaired TEXPAC, TMA’s political action committee. He is a graduate of the inaugural TMA Leadership College, a yearlong program that teaches physicians leadership skills.
Dr. Holland earned his medical degree from the UT Southwestern Medical School, completed his residency in otolaryngology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and recently earned an MBA in business administration in health care from Baylor University.
An adjunct faculty member in Baylor University’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Dr. Holland is a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He also is a former president of the Texas Association of Otolaryngology.
Through his leadership at TMA and across Texas medicine, Dr. Holland has dedicated his career to strengthening physician advocacy, advancing patient care, and mentoring the next generation of physician leaders.
Dr. Holland is married to his wife Amanda and has four adult children. When he’s not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, winter sports, fishing, politics, and photography.
