“I am a fourth-year medical student pursuing the field of pediatrics. Coming from an immigrant background, the journey to medical school was rather difficult. This scholarship will alleviate some financial burden from my education loans and continue to fuel my passion to bring healing to the pediatric population and their families. I deeply appreciate the award, and I will continue to give back to my local community.”

“As a first-generation college graduate and the first in my family to pursue a career in medicine, the road to this point in my education has been full of obstacles and challenges. As a recipient of this scholarship, I am now able to concentrate my efforts on what matters most: becoming the best physician I can be for my future patients. My educational pursuits would not be possible without generous support, and I am deeply appreciative.”

“As cliché as it may sound, I've wanted to become a physician since I was around 7 years old. Beyond that, I've been determined to be, and remain, independent in my pursuit. I have relied solely on student loans during my time in medical school; the 50-Year Club's generous award will help me fund my fourth year and reduce the financial obligations that come with the nationwide search for residency.”
