Ask the Expert: What You Need to Know About E-Prescribing Controlled Substances

AMA_RefCom_C_Report

You are probably already aware that all physicians in Texas have been required to electronically prescribe controlled substances beginning Jan. 1.

But did you know there are several waivers and exceptions to the state requirements?

If you’re still unsure about what is required under the new laws and what stand-alone technology options are available to you, tune into a Texas Medical Association “Ask the Expert” virtual discussion set for 6 pm (CT) Tuesday, March 23.

The discussion will be held via Zoom and presented by Shannon Vogel, TMA associate vice president of Health Information Technology, and Diane Shaw of the Dallas law firm Shaw & Associates.

The free event, which is open to physicians and practice staff, has been accredited for 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
