As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, it’s important to let your patients know what steps your practice has taken to minimize the spread of the disease.

But it’s also important to remind patients what steps they can take to ensure other people don’t get sick while they’re in your practice. That includes wearing facemasks, leaving companions at home or in the car, and considering a telemedicine appointment.

If you need help, the Texas Medical Association has developed two posters you can display in common areas of your practice or share on your website or social media accounts.

  • Poster No. 1 features seven icons that depict common safety precautions your practice likely has implemented, including separating sick and well patients, thoroughly cleaning surfaces, and requiring facemasks.
  • Poster No. 2 describes 11 safeguards for patients and staff, such as pre-appointment temperature checks, and separate building entrances for well and sick patients. The poster is customizable for your practice, and you are encouraged to add additional measures and remove any that do not apply.

TMA’s practice viability experts also developed a Road to Practice Recovery Guide and Practice Viability Toolkit to help you make informed decisions about your practice’s finances.

Find more information, tools, and resources on the COVID-19 Resource Center and Practice Viability pages, which are updated frequently.
