Physician Health and Wellness Poster Session

  • Inaugural Physician Health and Wellness Exchange Poster Session

The Texas Medical Association Committee on Physician Health and Wellness aims to establish a statewide collaboration with academic medical centers to help understand the gaps in resources and strategies for addressing the health and wellness needs in our workforce, student, and trainee populations. To highlight areas of improvement and success, the committee invited eligible individuals holding a current academic appointment, academic medical center faculty, and staff to submit an abstract.

Abstracts accepted for poster presentations were presented at the inaugural Physician Health and Wellness Exchange: From Super Being to Human Being on March 2, 2019, at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

This survey will aid in evaluating dimensions of meaning in work, burnout, stress, work-life integrations, fatigue, mental/emotional quality of life, and physical quality of life.

Our previous survey guided discussion during the inaugural PHW Exchange Think Tank Luncheon, Identifying Best Practices for Wellness and Resilience in Academic Medical Centers.
