Deadline Details

Last Day to Report on Round 1 of CARES Act Provider Relief Funds (PRF)
If you received more than $10,000 from the first round of Provider Relief Fund (PRF) distributions after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, June 30, 2021 was the last day to use those funds. Beginning July 1, 2021, recipients have 90 days to complete required reporting of the Period 1 PRF grant and repay any portion you haven’t used. However, recipients of later PRF grants won’t see their reporting period begin until 2022. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services revised its Post-Payment Notice of Reporting Requirements earlier this month. Recipients of more than $10,000 in Period 1 – between April 10, 2020, and June 30, 2020, have from July 1, 2021, until Sept. 30, 2021, to submit their required reports to the PRF Reporting Portal.

Recipients who received one or more payments exceeding $10,000 in the aggregate during a "payment received period" are required to report in each applicable reporting time period. For round 1 recipients of funds, reporting must be completed and submitted to the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration by the last date of the reporting time period, Sept. 30, 2021. PRF recipients who do not report within the applicable reporting time period are out of compliance with payment terms and conditions and may be subject to recoupment.
Recipients must submit their required reports to the PRF Reporting Portal: https://prfreporting.hrsa.gov. You’ll be able to return unused funds through the portal once the first reporting period begins, according to an HHS Frequently Asked Questions document on the PRF: https://www.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/provider-relief-fund-general-distribution-faqs.pdf Only recipients of more than $10,000 in aggregated PRF payments during a payment period must report, HHS says.
