“Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the devastating loss of life in the Texas Hill Country flooding. Sadly, many lives have been lost, and children are still missing. This is a tragedy that touches us all.

“To the grieving families, to the first responders risking their lives, and to the physicians and health care teams providing care and comfort amid the heartbreak – we stand with you.

“In this as in all circumstances affecting Texans’ lives, the Texas Medical Association will continue to advocate for the well-being, safety, and resilience of our communities in any way we can.”
