Give This COVID-19 Symptom Tracker to Your Patients

By now, it’s possible you’ve treated patients who have tested positive for COVID-19.

As with many illnesses, it’s important that your patients track and report their symptoms to help you and them better understand how their treatment is progressing.

To help you treat patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 – or who have symptoms of the illness – the Texas Medical Association has created a 14-day tracking chart for patients to use.

The chart includes boxes to record symptoms such as chest tightness, fatigue, loss of appetite or smell, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing. It also has space for patients to log their temperature and medications taken several times a day.

The chart advises patients to call their physician’s office should any symptoms worsen.

The chart is available here and also on TMA’s COVID-19 Resource page, which is updated regularly with tools, information, and more resources.
