Help TMA Foundation Break a Record to Amplify Community Impact

Did you miss out on the chance to participate in the Texas Medical Association Foundation’s (TMAF’s) annual gala this year at TexMed 2022?

Well, don’t fret, because through the STAR Campaign there is still an opportunity for all TMA and TMA Alliance members to impact physician-driven initiatives funded by TMAF to help tens of thousands of Texans across the state who are uninsured or underinsured, and at risk of chronic illnesses such as diabetes or heart disease.

For the 16th year, the John P. McGovern Foundation offered a challenge grant of $10,000, which the foundation successfully matched. Now, TMAF needs your help in raising just $2,000 more via the STAR Campaign to break its all-time fundraising record.

Since its inception, the STAR Campaign has provided more than $100,000 in support of TMAF-funded health programs such as Hard Hats for Little Heads. When you make your tax-deductible STAR gift before July 1, you will be recognized in a special Texas Medicine magazine thank-you ad that will be mailed to more than 47,000 subscribers.

Best of all, you’ll help make possible dozens of local, high-impact health programs that are meeting the state’s most vulnerable citizens through TMAF’s Medical Community Grant Program. Read about one recently awarded grant in the May issue of Texas Medicine

If you’d like to learn more about becoming a TMA Foundation donor, and about how your support improves the health of all Texans, contact Lisa Stark Walsh by email or at (512) 370-1666.
