Beaumont Physician Reelected to Represent Texas at AMA

G. Ray Callas, MD, a Beaumont anesthesiologist in practice for 20 years, was reelected to represent Texas doctors in the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates, the national organization’s policymaking body. The Texas Medical Association (TMA) House of Delegates reelected Dr. Callas today during TexMed, TMA’s annual conference, held in Houston this year. He also was elected chair of the TMA Board of Trustees.

Dr. Callas is a member of the Jefferson County Medical Society.

TMA is the largest state medical society in the nation, representing more than 56,000 physician and medical student members. It is located in Austin and has 110 component county medical societies around the state. TMA’s key objective since 1853 is to improve the health of all Texans.
