April 6: Participate in First Tuesdays at the Capitol

The Texas Medical Association needs your voice to amplify medicine’s priorities at the Capitol during the legislative session. The April 6 virtual First Tuesdays at the Capitol is one of two final events to do that before the session ends.

Join more than 200 of your colleagues Tuesday to learn about TMA's legislative priorities, what's happening at the Capitol impacting your practice and your patients, and steps you can take to make a difference.

Hosted by TMA and the TMA Alliance, the free event will take place at noon (CT) Tuesday, April 6 via Zoom. Register today.

This session, the house of medicine has testified in support of strengthening laws on end-of-life care, expanding broadband access to improve telemedicine access, while speaking out against scope expansion attempts, among other issues.

Although you will not lobby legislators in person on First Tuesdays this legislative session, you still can advocate for medicine’s agenda by participating in a local First Tuesdays in the District through your county medical society and responding to Action Alerts when TMA raises the flag on time-sensitive issues.

If you cannot attend the April event, register for the session’s final First Tuesdays set for noon (CT) May 4.
