Congress Needs to Get This Right

The Texas Medical Association, with our nearly 53,000 physician and medical student members, was very pleased to see the Ways and Means Committee weigh in on the debate over surprise medical billing legislation. 

While the details are yet to come, the general outline of that proposal looks quite promising.

This legislation is too important to physicians and our patients to hurry it through the process. We look forward to working with all members of Congress to enact a bill that will solve this problem, and solve it right.
