The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many changes, not the least of which is where many of us are working these days.

Although many physicians and staff are seeing patients regularly in practices, hospitals, and other facilities, you and your employees still might be working at home, even a few days a week.

Blending and balancing your home and work life brings new challenges, and it can be easy to lose some productivity working from home.

If you’re looking for ways to manage your busy household and your busy work life, tune in to the Texas Medical Association’s new Practice Well podcast episode, Quick Tip: How to Be Productive Working Remotely

During the podcast, Carra Benson, TMA’s practice management and reimbursement services manager, shares eight ways she’s learned to balance home and work, including:

  • Setting boundaries;
  • Learning to navigate fluctuating schedules;
  • Removing distractions;
  • Setting schedules;
  • Staying connected to your boss, colleagues, and coworkers; and
  • Setting up a remote workspace.
