Jump Start Your Leadership: Become a TMA Delegate
By David Doolittle

HOD 2018_Opening Session

Have you ever wanted to help create Texas Medical Association policy, or become a leader in Texas medicine, but you don’t know how?

Well, you’re in luck, because TMA is hosting a conference call that will tell you how to become part of the TMA House of Delegates.

Your county is currently an at-large county within TMA, meaning it doesn’t have its own county medical society. But that doesn’t mean you aren’t represented in the TMA House of Delegates.

At-large delegates represent their own county and other at large counties when voting for officers and resolutions in the House of Delegates.

Being a delegate for at-large counties requires attendance at TexMed 2020 in Fort Worth May 1-2 and TexMed 2021 in Austin May 14-15.

If you are interested in serving, join us for a conference call from 5:30 to 6 pm CT on Thursday, March 26.

To participate, call (720) 707-2699 and enter meeting ID 494 316 0843.

To RSVP, nominate yourself to serve as a delegate, or for more information, please contact Sara Regalado, TMA director of county medical society outreach, at (512) 370-1454 or sara.regalado@texmed.org.
