The Physician Health and Wellness (PHW) Committee offers several ongoing courses on a wide range of topics to educate physicians, TMA Alliance members, hospital administrators, and others. PHW activities encourage physicians to promote and maintain their health and wellness, which fosters healthy lifestyles in patients.

The PHW Committee is committed to providing ongoing education regarding physician health and wellness as well as services for potentially impairing conditions that may affect a physician’s ability to practice medicine with reasonable skill and safety. PHW courses may be accessed via the following venues: 

  • Live presentations at meetings of county medical societies, hospitals, and other entities;
  • TMA website; and

Freestanding Conferences and Workshops 

The PHW Committee delivers two conferences each year. The committee also presents four workshops each year in various cities, as available. Access information on these seminars via the TMA Education Center, or email PHW Staff.

To meet the demand for its CME activities and to maintain credible programs, the PHW Committee is continually expanding its education teams. With the assistance of its team members, the PHW Committee offers courses to educate physicians, Alliance members, hospital medical staffs, and others.
