Restricting the Sale of Electronic Cigarettes to Minors: The Texas Medical Association supports (1) limiting the sale of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) and associated products only to those people who are 21 years of age or older; (2) regulation of e-cigarettes in Texas in a similar manner as tobacco products; (3) increased clinical research on the effects of e-cigarettes; and (4) education in schools for children and adolescents about the effects of e-cigarettes, nicotine, tobacco, and other addictive substances (Res. 305-A-14; amended Res 310-A-19).
