265.014D Pay-for-Performance Measures

265.014Pay-for-Performance Measures: Common quality measures, that can be standardized across all payment systems as well as the American Board of Medical Specialties maintenance of certification and state licensure requirements, should be developed based on evidence-based clinical guidelines. The Texas Medical Association strongly advocates transparency in all tiered networks and pay-for-performance policies. TMA will use its in-house expertise on quality measures to educate physicians on how to implement these quality measures in their practices and better position themselves for pay-for-performance measures. TMA will develop resources for evaluating pay-for-performance plans and make those resources available to its member physicians (Amended Res. 406-A-06; deleted CHCQ Rep. 2-A-16).
