"TMA Leadership College has been one of my most exciting experiences: to interact with so many energetic, talented, and thoughtful individuals who are really interested in not only promoting the profession of medicine, but also promoting the overall care of their patients."
- Gregory Johnson, MD, Hospitalist, Pearland

Community

  • Public Health Outreach Programs: Participate in co-sponsored or self-directed programs like Be Wise - Immunize and Hard Hats for Little Heads, and Walk With a Doc. Grant funding is available to TMA members.
  • Choosing Wisely: Support the transformation to greater focus on the care of the patient, eliminating waste, and making healthcare sustainable with these and other quality improvement resources.
  • Giving Back: Help create the future of healthcare by leading the charge in sustaining the health and well-being of all communities in Texas.
"When I went into practice by myself, I realized I'm not just a physician, I'm not just a healer, I have a responsibility to my patients and to my community. I also have a responsibility to my profession and my specialty. That's why I joined TMA."
- Brian M. Bruel, MD, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Houston

Advocacy

  • TMA on the Issues: Help deliver strong, effective representation on behalf of all physicians in Texas by providing your expertise, testimony, and grassroots support. We win big when we work together!
"By participating in First Tuesdays, I was able to advocate... and see organized medicine in action and how it directly influences my patients.
- Carla Davis, MD, Allergy, Houston
