TMA Foundation Medical Community Grants Program

Each year, the Texas Medical Association Foundation (TMAF) invites proposals from eligible applicants for a grant to fully or partially fund a project of a TMA county medical society or county alliance society that compliment one or more of TMA's active public health or science areas of focus: Public Health Advocacy and Resources, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Targeted Public Health Issues, Evidence-Based Clinical Decision Making, and Clinical Advocacy. TMAF promotes the Family of Medicine's role as health improvement advocates for patients and the public. Applicants are encouraged to include tobacco cessation efforts in their applications.

Proposal deadline for the 2011-2012 program is 5 pm on August 1. 2011. The TMAF Board of Trustees will review and act on the proposals at its October 21, 2011 meeting.
