Claim Your 5% Bonus If You Are a Physician Who Participated in an Advanced APM in 2017
If you participated in an advanced alternative payment model (APM) during the 2017 Quality Payment Program (QPP) performance year but haven’t received your 5% APM incentive payment for 2019, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) wants to hear from you. The Texas Medical Association has learned that CMS has been unable to disburse the 2019 incentive payment to nearly 3,000 clinicians nationwide because the agency cannot verify their banking information. Nearly 100,000 qualified for the bonus.
02/28/2020
The deadline to provide your updated banking information and claim your 2019 incentive payment is Feb. 28. You’ll want to start this process as soon as possible so you don't lose your payment if you haven't received it yet.
TMA encourages physicians who participated in an advanced APM in 2017 and who have not received their incentive payment to check the CMS list of names (pages 2-42), which is arranged in alphabetical order with corresponding National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers. If you’re on the list, contact CMS to initiate banking verification by emailing your name, email address, and NPI to APMIncentivePayment@cms.hhs.gov. Once CMS receives your information, the agency will email you the secure vehicle for providing your banking information.
