Hard Hats for Little Heads Gives Free Helmets

The Texas Medical Association’s Hard Hats for Little Head bicycle helmet giveaway program provides free bicycle helmets to children across Texas. The program aims to reduce brain injuries and encourage kids to exercise.

TMA provides all the tools you need to plan, organize, and carry out a successful helmet giveaway. We start by providing free helmets to go along with the ones you purchase. For instance, if you buy 50 helmets, we give you 50 more at no cost. Helmets purchased through TMA are offered at below-market prices, less than $7.50 per helmet. And our outreach and educational materials, in English and Spanish, make your event more fun.

Email TMA’s outreach coordinator to start planning your event. Or find an upcoming event in your area.

    • Planning Your Event
TMA recommends you start planning your event at least a month in advance to ensure time for delivery of helmets and materials. Thanks to top donors — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Prudential, and two anonymous foundations — for generous gifts that provide major support for the Hard Hats for Little Heads program.
