Good News: Funding Available for Shot Clinics

Apply for a TMA Be Wise — ImmunizeSM Local Impact Grant to jumpstart your vaccination event. Grant proposals are due March 1, July 1, and Nov. 1. This program aims to increase vaccinations given through Be Wise — Immunize. Grants of $500 to $2,500 are available to county medical societies (CMSs), physician practices, TMA Alliance chapters, medical student chapters, and TMA member-physician practices/clinics.

Grants can fund new or expanded shot clinics to vaccinate underserved and uninsured children, adolescents, and/or adults. To plan your vaccination event, check out the Be Wise — Immunize Quick Start Manual: A Step-by-Step Vaccination Outreach Guide. To find out more, contact Tammy Wishard, TMA’s outreach coordinator, at (512) 370-1470.

Be Wise — Immunize is funded through generous grants from TMA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Association, thanks to major support from H-E-B, TMF Health Quality Institute, and Permian Basin Youth Chavarium, along with gifts from physicians and their families.
