Remember your first professional mentor? The physician who introduced you to all the right people. The one who shared invaluable tricks of the trade? The one who helped to steer you away from trouble? It’s time to repay the favor. The TMA Mentorship Program matches physician leaders with scholars in the current TMA Leadership College class.

All it takes is a phone call or two each month, a few introductions to your colleagues, and a helpful hand every now and again. Then you can stand proudly when your mentee graduates from the Leadership College program at TexMed.

  • What is TMA Leadership College?

The TMA Leadership College (TMALC) was established in 2010 as part of TMA's effort to ensure strong and sustainable physician leadership with organized medicine. TMALC graduates serve as thought leaders who can close the divide among clinicians and health care policymakers, and as trusted leaders within their local communities.

With more than 40 hours of classroom instruction, the TMA Leadership College was designed for active TMA members under the age of 40 or who are in the first eight years of practice.
