Deadline Details

Last Day to Submit Data for the 2021 Quality Payment Program: Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
The MIPS performance year begins on Jan. 1 and ends on Dec. 31 each year. If you're eligible for MIPS, you must report data collected during the calendar year by March 31. For example, if you collected data in 2020, you must report your data by March 31, 2021, to be eligible for a positive payment adjustment and avoid a negative payment adjustment in 2022.
03/31/2021
If you do not report the MIPS data you collected in 2020, or you haven't submitted a hardship exception application, then you could receive a negative payment adjustment of 9% on your Medicare Part B payments in 2022.
