Jan. 29: Improve Your Communication

The Texas Medical Association’s Special Interest Sections will host an interactive virtual program, Creating Balanced Communication With Patients and Staff, during Winter Conference on Jan. 29 at 3 pm to help physicians improve the often-overlooked skill of communication with patients, practice staff, and other doctors.

Presented by Keith Lewis of Veraspark Consulting, the program will explore the balance of giving and receiving information through a highly interactive session utilizing simulations and small group discussions. Principles that will be discussed include:

How understanding produces trust, alignment, and buy-in;

Discovering why understanding first is more effective than convincing first; and

Strategies to understand another person’s frame of reference.

Attendees will receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
