COVID-19 Safety is Everyone’s Business: Hang This Poster In Your Practice
By David Doolittle

By now, your colleagues and staff are probably already aware of the most common ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.

Steps like maintaining safe distances, washing hands, and wearing a mask as much as possible are well-known – and extremely important – steps to keeping everyone safe.

In addition, your staff probably has adjusted to working remotely or in staggered shifts, and disinfecting public surfaces throughout the day.

But there are other steps you and your staff might not have considered, such as taking stairs instead of elevators, avoiding break rooms, and eating outside.

To help your staff remember to stay safe – or to provide them with more tips on how to prevent COVID-19 in the workplace – the Texas Medical Association has created a poster that you can print out and hang near other workplace posters.

The poster also provides steps and tips employers can implement to keep staff and patients safe, such as requiring temperature checks for anyone who enters, limiting the number of people in your facility, providing barriers between staff and patients, and placing hand sanitizer dispensers in public spaces.

The poster is available on the TMA COVID-19 Resource Center, which includes numerous tips, posters, resources, and information on how to prevent, treat, and respond to the illness.
