Recertification Required for Healthy Texas Women Program

HPV_Study

If you provide health care services through the Healthy Texas Women (HTW) program, or if you want to begin providing HTW services, the annual recertification period is just around the corner.

HTW, which is coordinated through the Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership (TMHP), covers core family-planning and women’s health services for uninsured women who meet certain age and income requirements. When Medicaid pregnancy-related coverage ends, Texas automatically enrolls adult women into HTW.

The recertification period for 2020 will run from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2019.

HTW physicians also must verify or update information for each practice location where they provide HTW services so that information in the program’s “Find a Doctor” search tool is up to date.

To complete the recertification process, use the Provider Information Management System (PIMS) on the TMHP provider website by clicking “Log in to My Account.” Step-by-step guides for certification and for updating demographic information also can be found on TMHP websites.

For more information, call the TMHP Contact Center at (800) 925-9126 and press option 5.
