It’s now September, which in Texas doesn’t mean the weather’s getting any cooler.

But it does mean that the Texas Medical Association 2019 Fall Conference is right around the corner.

Join your fellow Texas physician leaders at this year’s conference, which is scheduled for Sept. 13-14 at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa. Register today.

Board, committee, and council business meetings are planned Friday, while Saturday’s programming will dive into a number of topics at the forefront of medicine.

Enjoy a free breakfast during Saturday’s Dawn Duster presentation, which will feature a physician panel discussing how to effectively use and expand telemedicine in your practice.

Following the Dawn Duster, the General Session opens with state lawmakers discussing the 2019 legislative session and TMA’s advocacy efforts.

In addition, a panel of Texas physicians will discuss the opioid epidemic – including tools to support screening, intervention, and referral to treatment for substance use disorder. The panel also will cover integrating the Texas Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) with your electronic health record (EHR) system.

The day will wrap up with a presentation on “State-Level Leadership on Drivers of Health” featuring experts on social determinants of health, population health, and health care delivery.

By attending the Dawn Duster and General Session programming, you are eligible to claim 3.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM and 3.25 ethic/professional responsibility credits.

For assistance with completing your registration, call the TMA Knowledge Center at (800) 880-7955 or via email.
