Women Physicians Section
The Women Physicians Section (WPS) business meeting will feature a presentation from the section’s executive council, “Policy 101.”

  • Do you have a resolution idea you would like section members to consider at this meeting? Be sure to bring it to the meeting or submit it beforehand.
  • Apply to be a Women Physicians Section leader. Nominations will open during the meeting for two WPS Executive Council positions: American Medical Association associate and alternate associate. To apply for either position, submit your nomination from the floor during the section meeting, or submit a letter of intent and two-page curriculum vitae to Karen Kollar by Feb. 4. The one-year term for these positions begins at the conclusion of TexMed 2022 in April.

Resident and Fellow Section

During the Resident and Fellow Section (RFS) meeting on Jan. 28, section members will elect the following to the RFS Executive Council: chair-elect, reporter, TMA delegates (up to eight positions), TMA alternate delegates (up to eight positions), alternate delegate to the Texas Delegation to the AMA, and resident appointee to the TMA Board of Trustees. Learn more about these positions.

If you missed the recently passed application deadline, you can still run from the floor during the section meeting. The one-year term for these positions begins at the conclusion of TexMed 2022.
