- CDC Provides Vaccine Allergy Recommendations: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has published recommendations for people who have severe anaphylaxis after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. The webpage also includes recommendations for people who have had allergic reactions to other vaccines and for those with other types of allergies. Read more information.
- What To Do With Potentially Non-Viable Vaccines: DSHS has released guidance for facilities that receive potentially nonviable vaccines, such as shipments that are warm, damaged, or in an otherwise questionable state. Read more information.
- Effectively Speak to Patients About Vaccines: Do you have patients who are skeptical about the benefits and safety of a COVID-19 vaccine? De Beaumont, a national public health advocacy organization, has published several vaccine communications resources, including a graphic that offers tips on “language that works to improve vaccine acceptance.” Read more information.
- Building Vaccine Confidence Within the Hispanic Community: The National Hispanic Medical Association has scheduled a virtual briefing on “Building Vaccine Confidence from 6 to 7:15 pm (CT) Wednesday, Jan. 27. The briefing is the fifth part of a series that address lessons learned by physicians and health care professional during the COVID-19 pandemic. Register online.
