What’s Your Experience with EHR?

UHC_Etip

Does your practice use an electronic health record (EHR)? If so, can you or someone on your staff spare an hour or two to help other practices that are considering switching to one?

The Urban Institute is looking for physicians, other health care professionals, administrators, and information technology (IT) staff – particularly those in small or rural practices – to participate in online interviews Jan. 13 through 17.

The Urban Institute, an economic and social policy research think tank, is not targeting health IT experts, rather typical users of health IT products.

Information will be used to develop draft EHR Reporting Program criteria that will help practices that are considering buying or implementing an EHR.

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), a federal agency operating within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), oversees the EHR certification program. As part of the 21st Century Cures Act of 2016, Congress directed HHS to establish an EHR Reporting Program. ONC contracted with the Urban Institute and Health Tech Solutions to develop the program.

If you would like to volunteer to be interviewed, contact TMA’s Health Information Technology Department.
