Have Your Say on Trauma Facility Designations

Time certainly goes by quickly, doesn’t it?

It seems like only yesterday that the Texas Medical Association encouraged you to give your feedback on revised rules on trauma facility designations.

In fact, it was last year about this time.

Well, it’s time to do it all again now that the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has released a second version of the rules for trauma facilities.

And, again, TMA is encouraging you to have your voice and expertise heard.

Check out the resource documents, which include the current rules written in plain language. If you have any feedback on the rules, TMA wants to hear from you so that we can include them in our response to DSHS.

But time is running out, so you should act quickly if you want to put in your 2 cents.

If you have feedback, email Alison Mohr Boleware, TMA policy analyst for the Committee on EMS & Trauma, with the subject line “Trauma Rules Comments” by noon, Friday, Sept. 25 (that’s next week).
