Helping your community to be healthier couldn’t be easier. Just apply for a Texas Medical Association Foundation (TMAF) grant that can help fund an immunization clinic, health fair, smoking cessation program, and more.

TMAF accepts applications from county medical societies, and alliance and medical student chapters for community health improvement programs focused on TMA priorities in public health, science, medical education, and quality of care.

One recent grant recipient used the funds to promote early literacy and health and wellness during checkups for children at six Baylor Scott & White Health clinics that serve low-income communities in Bell County.

Elsewhere, Baylor College of Medicine students used a grant to host a health fair in southeast Houston that offered health screenings and other services to families and people with limited access to health care and social services.

To apply for a grant, submit a letter of intent by July 15, and a completed application by July 31. Applicants will be notified of grant decisions the week of Sept. 16

TMA Foundation accepts applications through its online application portal. Go to the TMAF website to see how easy it is!
