With the April 2 submission deadline just around the corner, you might be among the many Texas physicians who need MIPS help ASAP.
The Texas Medical Association has heard from physicians who do not know if they are required to participate in Medicare’s Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) as well as those who know they need to participate – and know they need help.
If you are not sure if you are required to participate in MIPS for the 2018 Quality Payment Program, check the QPP lookup tool (make sure you select “PY 2018”).
Physicians who have to participate can turn to the TMF Health Quality Institute for no-cost assistance. That’s right, help is free!
The TMF QPP team is ready to help physicians at any time.

Physicians who submit MIPS data can be recognized for their efforts by applying for TMF’s 2018-19 Physician Practice Quality Improvement Award.
The TMF Health Quality Institute is sponsoring the award program in collaboration with TMA, the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, and others. This year the award is based on performance categories and measures that align with MIPS. It is open to any physician practice, accountable care organization, or large system.
Download the program overview and criteria to learn what your practice needs to do to complete an online application by May 31. Award-winning practices will receive commemorative items to display.
For questions about the award program, contact TMF Health Quality Institute by email at ppqualityaward[at]tmf[dot]org.
