Forney to Physicians: We’re Open for Medicine

forneyIf you’ve ever thought about opening your own practice in the Dallas area, officials in Forney are hoping you’ll look their way.

Forney, a town of about 20,000 people on the eastern edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, is offering incentives for practices that open or expand there.

The incentives will be grants for practices that maintain at least five new full-time positions and are open at least three days per week. “Preference will be given to health care offices that offer a new medical service currently not available in Forney,” the city’s guidelines say.

The inducement is also available to practices already located in Forney that plan to expand by at least five new employees.

More information on Forney, its health care industry, and how to apply for the incentive program can be found on the city economic development corporation’s website.
