Are you talking to your patients about choosing wisely? Choosing Wisely® is an initiative of the ABIM Foundation that supports physicians' efforts to avoid unnecessary tests and procedures by delivering the right care at the right time.
National organizations representing medical specialists have been asked to "choose wisely" by identifying tests or procedures common in their field whose necessity physicians should question and discuss. More than 60 organizations have responded with lists of "Five Things Physicians and Patients Should Question" to spark discussion about the need — or lack thereof — for many frequently ordered tests or treatments.
