The American Medical Association’s (AMA’s) Current Procedural Technology Editorial Panel has expedited a new administration code for a potential third dose of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine.
The code is 0013A, and it will be used “to report the actual work of administering the vaccine, in addition to all necessary counseling to patients or caregivers and updating the electronic record,” AMA says.
AMA previously released the CPT code for a third dose of the Pfizer vaccine, which is 0003A.
