Is the Leadership College going to meet in person this year?
The Leadership College will be meeting virtually beginning with its Boot Camp session in November. Classes will transition back to the traditional in-person format as soon as it is considered safe to do so based on guidance from federal, state, and local health authorities. In the meantime, TMALC staff is committed to offering the high-quality programming that the Leadership College has become known for.
Will the curriculum still cover the same things it has in the past?
Yes. As with many things during the pandemic, some of the methods may have to change to accommodate a virtual format, but the curriculum will still feature the same core concepts that have helped propel young physicians to greater leadership roles over the past ten years. TMALC staff is working closely with program faculty to ensure courses are effective and engaging in both a virtual and in-person setting.
What about the networking opportunities I’ve heard so much about?
The TMA Leadership College Executive Committee is very cognizant of the value placed on the collegiality and relationships made over the course of the program. The 2020-2021 curriculum will include a variety of formal and informal activities that will engage participants in small and large groups – encouraging them to interact and share their unique perspectives with other scholars.
