“Who We Are” As Texas Physicians

What defines a Texas physician?

Caring? Loyalty? Dedication? Passion? Expertise?

In fact, it’s all of those qualities and so much more.

But as Texas Medical Association Past President Carlos J. Cardenas, MD, says in a new video: “Those rights and privileges, those duties and responsibilities, that energy that comes from the patient-physician relationship. Taken together, it defines us. It is who we are.”

Check out the 15-second video above, and be sure to share it on your social media pages.

“Respect for physicians in Texas, and nationwide, has rightfully soared during the COVID-19 crisis,” said Steve Levine, TMA vice president for communication. “This short video – featuring COVID and non-COVID images of physicians and patients – is our way to remind Texans why you do what you do every day.”

Throughout the past few months, as the COVID-19 pandemic swept through Texas, TMA has been a steady source of news, information, tools, and resources to help you understand the pandemic; how to safely and effectively care for patients, your staff, and yourself; and how to protect your practice’s revenue during reduced patient visits.

Find more information on TMA’s COVID-19 Resource Center, which is updated regularly.
