Your Telemedicine, TMA Questions Answered at Virtual Meeting

Psychiatrist_Increase

Would you like to use telemedicine in your practice, but don’t feel prepared or knowledgeable enough to get started?

Want to know all the ways the Texas Medical Association can help you or your practice?

Are you curious to know what the Lone Star Caucus, which represents your county in the TMA House of Delegates, is working on?

Are you interested in supporting your physician colleagues who are struggling financially or whose practices have suffered some kind of hardship?

If you answered yes to any or all of those questions, tune into to a 30-minute virtual meeting scheduled for noon Thursday, Feb. 20.

During the meeting:

  • Shannon Vogel, TMA director of health information technology and special projects, will give a brief overview of TMA’s telemedicine strategy and what services and resources are being developed to help members augment their practices with telemedicine services for their own patients;
  • Little Elm internist John Flores, MD, will give an update on the Lone Star Caucus; and
  • Chris Johnson, senior program manager of the TMA Physicians Benevolent Fund, will discuss the fund’s 50-plus-year legacy of caring for Texas physicians.

You’ll also hear from Michael Darrouzet, TMA’s new executive vice president and CEO.

To tune in, visit the TMA virtual meeting webpage at noon on Feb. 20.
