Since January 2018, Texas Medicine magazine has highlighted some of the most interesting medical memorabilia in the Texas Medical Association archives and History of Medicine collection – everything from 15th century anatomical illustrations to Civil War postmortem dissection kits.
Nancy Semin, TMA’s collections and museum exhibits manager, chose the pieces and wrote a description of each, while Austin photographer Matt Lemke took a few days to shoot each one.
