Jeffrey M. Apple, MD, an Austin vascular surgeon in practice for 18 years, was confirmed to serve on the Texas Medical Association (TMA) Board of Councilors, the organization’s ethical policymaking body. Dr. Apple was confirmed as vice councilor for a three-year term. He will represent his Central Texas geographic region on the TMA ethics board.
He is a member of the Travis County Medical Society.
TMA is the largest state medical society in the nation, representing nearly 53,000 physician and medical student members. It is located in Austin and has 110 component county medical societies around the state. TMA’s key objective since 1853 is to improve the health of all Texans.
