Are you interested in improving health care services for families of children who have a disability?

If so, you might want to apply to become a member of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s (HHSC’s) Policy Council for Children and Families

The council advises the HHSC executive commissioner and Texas Legislature on ways to improve the coordination, quality, efficiency, and outcomes of services provided to children with disabilities and their families. 

Incoming members’ terms will expire Dec. 31, 2020, or 2022. 

Council meetings will be held about once every three months in Austin or at the call of the presiding officer. Council members will not be paid to attend or to travel to and from council meetings. 

If you’re interested, review the application letter to determine whether you’re eligible to serve. After that, complete an application and return it via email, fax, or mail to:
