The Texas Medical Association Foundation Board of Trustees welcomed two new members at its fall meeting: Curtis Eric Grey, MD, an Athens family physician in practice for 15 years, and Debbie Pitts, a Tyler volunteer and past president of the TMA Alliance (TMAA).

Each will serve a three-year term and are eligible to serve a total of three terms.

Dr. Grey has served in various leadership roles in organized medicine, including president of the Henderson County Medical Society from 2012 to 2016.

Mrs. Pitts also has represented TMAA on TMA’s Council on Science and Public Health, Council on Health Promotion, and Committee on Infectious Diseases.

TMAF, the philanthropic arm of TMA, raises funds to support the population health, quality of care, and science priority initiatives of the association and the family of medicine. The foundation works to connect medicine, business, and community groups that carry out funded programs at the local and state levels.
